day 42
I have extensively recorded my drumset today, but that is the simple part. Damon is now faced with the task of turning that into a viable drum machine. After the proper programming we will have the beginning
of the first National Warbird Collaboration. I hope that this fellowship continues.

day 41
Damon, Tristan, and I are beginning our first national Warbird collaboration. We plan on doing some recording where one of us records a track, sends it to another, then sends it to the third, continuing this process until we have something interesting. I hope it works out well and we can record an entire album this way.

Thank you for all the condolences toward Spoon. We will bury her tomorrow.
Also our plumbing was fixed (yay!). Now we can run all the necessary washroom items.

day 39
Tired. Burning the candle at both ends is not like it was when I was 20. Having an 8 a.m. class is never easy. At the very least, I am getting to bed earlier than usual tonight.
On a sad note one of our new children has died. R.I.P. "Spoon".
Spoon was one of the most acrobatic mice I had seen. She could jump five times her own height.
Spoon:

Spoon hanging out with sisters Nole and Skillet.

Spoon (left) is survived by her sisters Nole (center), Skillet (right), and Whisk (not pictured).

day 37
I felt off at work today. Maybe I need more coffee before I venture into the world.
I am listening to the new Bad Plus album as I type this, which just became available for download in the past hour. My initial impression is that it is a lot more balanced than some of their other recordings. It is also the only album they have ever recorded that is comprised entirely of original material. I hope to write a full review for the upcoming issue of the Forum.

My lymph nodes have swollen under my arms, I plan on getting that checked out this week at my student health center. Also I have been experiencing foot pains. Probably just under the weather from not getting enough sleep.

day 35
We have now experienced the traffic of a HOGS game. Half of Little Rock was shut down. We made a chef boyardee pizza for dinner, which comes with crust mix and sauce, and we shredded pepper jack cheese and put pineapple slices on the pizza. It was delicious. Also Pawn Stars is now instantly streamable via Netflix! That made our night since we are still waiting for the next Breaking Bad dvd.
I also wrote two articles for the upcoming paper. I find that my articles are very short, but I do not feel I should be trying to bloat them with filler. If the five w's and the two h's are all accounted for, why should it be any longer than 187 words? I think most people lose interest in long-winded articles.

day 34
We saw Little Big Town tonight!
It was short, but entertaining. The harmonies were spot-on. The band was tight and versatile. Country seems to better represent what rock music once was far better than the "rock" music of today. They use few effects, the singers can actually stay in tune, and the guitarists are always tastily skilled. In fact this guitarist reminded me of my old friend Ben Halford, he looked like Ben when he would play---and like Ben he had chops.

day 33
A fun day! Alicia's car broke down, and my buddy Jordan picked us up. We will be renting a car for our trip tomorrow to see Little Big Town.
I have many articles to write for this upcoming paper, and I feel that my reporting test went well today. We cleaned all the kid's cages and discovered that spoon can jump three times her height! We have videographic proof.

day 32
I have a test tomorrow in beginning reporting.
Having an 8 o'clock class (history) is something I would like to avoid in the future. Even with a great deal of coffee, I am unable to reach a full level of alertness.

day 31
One month.
Tiny is doing very well. I believe she will fully recover.
I entered into a "play guitar with Pavement on Jimmy Fallon" contest.
I have 2 assigned stories for the Forum this week.
The news director from KHTV spoke at my journalisitc freedom and responsibility class tonight, which was very interesting.
Our microwave is getting fixed Thursday and hopefully our window screens soon after that.

day 30
Tiny's wounds are shrinking, I think she may finally overcome the disease.
I spent many hours on schoolwork today, and accomplished a lot. I finished an outline/presentation as well as a paper.
Alicia mopped our floors and they feel cleaner to the bare foot, which is pleasant.
We also did laundry at the FunWash and ran into some people from Illinois who said they are moving back after being here for a year because they do not like being here.

day 29
Today I had the pleasure of video chatting with my parents.
Tiny is still fighting.
We almost did laundry...
I wish I was spending tomorrow relaxing, but I will have to heavily hit the books. I have a paper due in my mass media writing and a presentation for journalistic freedom Tuesday.

day 27
Tiny is beginning her descent. The one that was once so strong---that held on through all tribulations, and fortified our spirits on the long journey southward---is losing her focus. The disease is overtaking her feeble body. Although she has perservered through a blanketing illness before, this one may sickeningly triumph. If she can overcome---then our incessant companion shall live the life of a legend.

day 26
Damgoode.
...is it really bad spelling, or exactly what i was thinking when my teeth sank into the fresh garlic-basil-butter crust?
It is both--but more importantly the pizza at Damgoode pies in Little Rock's Hillcrest district is a testament to "New York style" pizza. The ingredients are fresh, and the large variety of sauces promise a new level of succulence every trip for a reasonable price.
Anyways, we also went shopping at Kroger and did some schoolin'. Peace.

The housework is piling up here. This weekend should be largely uneventful--allowing us time to unpack and continue cleaning. It will be nice to be fully settled in. Alicia and I hope to attend the hot springs rally to see the band, Little Big Town.

day 24
I am having trouble finding a story, since my beat is dry this week. I have been thinking about composing an "evergreen" piece about the eco-friendliness of the century gothic font. Or maybe a folluw-up on "Breaking Bad" since it won two important Emmys. I would hate to go an issue without writing an article.
